Work-Life Balance Boost! Pakistan Adjusts Government Office Hours
To improve work-life balance for its employees, the Government of Pakistan has implemented revised office timings for federal government institutions. This announcement was made by the establishment division on Tuesday, which signifies a shift in scheduling for the bureaucrats nationwide.
- Standardized Hours: This is the new policy for the establishment with standards by the workday schedule of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for offices on a five-day workweek. For offices following a six-day schedule, timings are set from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
- Streamlined Schedule: This revised structure offers a more streamlined workday, which is compared to the previous Ramadan with a timing of 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (six days). Fridays will continue to have shorter hours, with offices closing at 12:30 p.m.
- Dedicated Break Time: This is a dedicated of 30 minutes which are a break from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm caters to both prayer and lunch needs, ensuring a structured and predictable workday.
