Breaking News: Pakistan Postpones Intermediate Exams Due to By-Elections
Pakistan’s Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Lahore has postponed intermediate in chemistry and English exams originally which are scheduled for April 20th and 22nd, respectively. This decision presents logistical issues for examination facilities that may double as polling places in the context of the approaching by-elections on April 21.
While exam disruptions are inconvenient for students, it’s important to consider the wider context of democratic processes. To ensure that Pakistani citizens continue to be represented in parliament and to fill open legislative seats, by-elections are essential. Even though it may affect students’ timetables, this postponement maintains democratic values.
