Job Purpose:
As a carpentry and millwork technician at Stanford, you’ll be integral to preserving their facilities’ structural integrity and aesthetics. Your duties range from general carpentry to intricate cabinet-making and repairs, showcasing your craftsmanship across their diverse campus.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance carpentry: framing, formwork, siding, and trim installation.
- Fabricate and repair casework, countertops, furniture, and finish carpentry elements.
- Troubleshoot and restore furniture, doors, and windows to their original condition.
- Safely operate and maintain various carpentry tools and machinery.
- Collaborate with other trades for seamless project execution.
- Uphold safety protocols and maintain a positive service-oriented approach.
Qualifications:
- Valid California driver’s license.
- High school graduation.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a journeyman cabinet maker and finish carpenter, or equivalent.
- Ability to operate a two-way radio and follow written and oral instructions.
- Proficiency in safe work practices and the physical capability to perform maintenance tasks.
