Polycultural Immigrant and Community is hiring a child care positions

Scope

Polycultural Immigrant and Community Services is seeking a suitable adaptable child care worker. You must be able to take last-minute shifts and be okay with an unpredictable schedule. Work hours are not fixed and can be between 0 to 27.5 hours a week.

Physical Requirements

• The child care worker jobs for need some of the requirements which are following:
• You know the knowledge of a baby diaper changing.
• Give a baby foods.
• Working with young children, lifting and participating in physical activities.
• You may also need to watch the children.
• You may do some outdoor activities with them.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow the rules and guidelines of the Care for Newcomer Children (CNC) program
• Help CNC staff with fun and age-appropriate activities for children
• Make sure activities support children’s physical, thinking, learning, and emotional needs
• Keep children safe and healthy by doing health checks and keeping records of attendance and sickness
• Report any accidents or concerns about a child’s well-being to the manager
• Build good relationships with children, parents, and coworkers
• Play and talk with children to help them join in activities
• Help observe and understand each child’s skills, interests, and behavior
• Keep the classroom clean and organized, including toys and supplies
• Tell the manager if you notice any problems
• Help children with going to the washroom, diaper changes, and dressing
• Give first aid if needed
• Do other tasks as asked by the manager

Changes the way of working when needed to reach a goal. Uses the best way that fits the situation. Accepts change with a good attitude and is ready to learn new ways to do the job.

Communication

Using different ways of talking and listening to help people share ideas and keep the conversation going.

Planning & Organizing/Time Management

Shows strong effort to help co-workers, managers, clients, or community members and tries to make sure they are fully happy and satisfied

Qualifications

• Must have Early Childhood Educator (ECE) diploma
• Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
• At least 1 year of experience working with children in a childcare setting
• Must have or be willing to get Standard First Aid & CPR certificate
• Good communication and people skills
• Able to help during emergencies or when people are upset
• Works well with others and as part of a team
• Can lift and carry children or heavy items, use cleaning products, and stand for a long time
• Understands and respects the needs of newcomers
• Must have a recent health check, proof of vaccines, and TB test
• Always on time, professional, and hardworking
• Speaking another language is a plus
• Able to travel to different Polycultural locations is a plus

Other Requirements

You must pass a police check for working with vulnerable people (done after you get the job offer).

Schedule:

The child care owrker sift time ona day or duiotes is have a moday to friday

Licence/Certification:

ECE Licence (required)

Job Benifits

The company is paying a good salary, providing health insurance, and providing visa sponsorship
