At first glance spending $395 per year on a credit card you rarely use might seem like a financial misstep . But for me it’s quite the opposite . Despite minimal usage this premium credit card more than justifies its annual fee through travel perks statement credits and elite services that provide real value throughout the year .

Premium Travel Benefits That Save Hundreds

The most valuable part of this card lies in its travel benefits . I receive up to $300 annually in travel credits which automatically apply to hotels flights or ride sharing services . Even if I only take one or two trips a year these credits easily shave a significant portion off the annual fee .

Moreover I get complimentary access to airport lounges which would normally cost $30 to $50 per visit . These lounges offer free snacks drinks comfortable seating and a peaceful environment . Perfect for layovers and delays. Just two or three visits a year save me over $100 .

Hotel Upgrades and Late Checkout

Booking hotels through the card’s portal provides me with room upgrades when available early check in late checkout and daily breakfast at select properties . On a recent trip I was upgraded to a suite that would have cost $100 more per night . That single experience nearly made up the annual fee .

Statement Credits for Everyday Services

In addition to travel perks the card offers up to $100 in credits for streaming services ride shares or food delivery platforms . These are services I already use regularly so this is essentially free money each year .

There’s also a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck reimbursement worth up to $100 every four to five years . Making airport security a breeze and saving time during travel .

Purchase Protection and Extended Warranties

Even though I rarely swipe the card when I do it’s for big ticket items . That’s because it offers purchase protection return protection and extended warranties . Something my other cards don’t . These benefits give me peace of mind and have saved me a few hundred dollars on damaged electronics and returns .

Exclusive Experiences and Concierge Services

The card includes access to exclusive events dining experiences and a 24 .7 concierge service that helps with reservations travel planning and even hard to get concert tickets . While I don’t use these often they’re impressive when I do. And always appreciated .

Final Thoughts Worth Every Penny

Even though I rarely use the card for everyday spending its perks protections and premium services far outweigh the $395 annual fee. It’s not about how often I use the card . It’s about the value it returns when I do . If you’re someone who travels occasionally and appreciates luxury and convenience a high fee credit card like this can be worth every penny .
