THARPARKAR July 7 — In a tragic incident a group of tourists faced a devastating flash flood in the Tharparkar region leaving one person dead and several others in distress According to local authorities the group comprising 11 tourists was visiting the mountainous areas of Tharparkar when they were caught off guard by sudden and powerful flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall .
The tourists were on an excursion to explore the scenic beauty of the Tharparkar hills which are popular among adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts However their journey turned into a nightmare when heavy rains lashed the region unexpectedly resulting in rapid flooding of mountain streams and dry riverbeds .
Tour Turns Tragic Amid Sudden Floods
Eyewitnesses reported that the group had been trekking along the hilly terrain when the downpour began Initially the tourists sought shelter under rocky ledges and nearby trees hoping the rain would subside However within minutes gushing waters surged through the area sweeping away anything in their path .
