A Well-Known Political Figure
Marleix was a seasoned Gaullist and political insider. Born in 1971, he graduated from Sciences Po and held various public roles, including mayor of Anet (2008–2017) and president of the LR deputies from 2022 to 2024 .He also chaired key parliamentary commissions, such as the inquiry into Alstom’s energy sale.
