From 2 PM to 6 PM, students are busy with their second specialty test, studying subjects like Mathematics, Economics & Social Sciences (SES), Physics-Chemistry, Biology, Literature & Philosophy (HLP), Geography/History/Geopolitics (HGGSP), and others .
Only those who chose Biology-Ecology or Ancient Languages & Cultures (LLCA) will take their specialty exam tomorrow instead.
Why These Exams Matter More Than Ever
Each specialty exam carries a coefficient of 16, making them the most heavily weighted tests in the bac process . For comparison, the earlier French final exam is only worth coefficient 5. A weak score here could cost a student their diploma or their honors mention.

This year, around 724,633 students in general and technological tracks are taking these specialty exams, continuing over three days from June 17 to 19 . It’s a marathon of final tests before the grand oral exam later this month.
