The former governor of Kaduna state and one of the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Nasir El-Rufai has taken to his official X account on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 to react after the death of Onyekachi Okafor was announced.

According to the post that the former governor of Kaduna state shared on his official X account, he described the deceased as a person who was always holding the government accountable. Nasir El-Rufai also revealed that Onyekachi Okafor was one of the active members in a WhatsApp group that was created during the administration of Muhammadu Buhari.

The former governor of Kaduna state stated that she will be greatly missed. Nasir El-Rufai sent his condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed for her soul to find rest.
