In a concerted Effort to ”Address” the persistent ”issue of electricity theft and unscheduled load shedding, authorities in Peshawar have initiated a comprehensive plan to install 10,000 new electricity meters in the suburban areas of
Badhaber and Mattani. ”This initiative, undertaken by the ”Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) in Collaboration with local representatives and “administrative officials, aims to enhance transparency in electricity consumption and reduce ”line losses.
Strategic Implementation in High-Theft Areas
The decision to focus on ”Badhaber and Mattani stems from their high incidence of electricity theft and frequent “unscheduled load shedding. By installing new “”meters under the supervision of ”Assistant Commissioners and local lawmakers, the authorities aim to ensure accurate billing and discourage illegal”” connections.

Formation of Consultation Committees
To facilitate the smooth execution of this “”initiative, consultation committees comprising members of the National and Provincial “”Assemblies have been established. These committees are tasked with ``overseeing the installation process, addressing community concerns, and ensuring that
