Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) has firmly rejected what it called a “baseless” and “irresponsible” claim by India that Pakistan was involved in targeting the revered Sikh holy site, the Golden Temple, located in Amritsar.
In a strongly worded statement released on Tuesday, the FO clarified that there was “no truth whatsoever” to the Indian allegation and termed it a part of a “well-known pattern of maligning Pakistan.” The statement emphasized that Pakistan has the utmost respect for all religious sites, particularly those with sacred significance to communities within and beyond its borders.
