The NHMP has urged all travelers to exercise extra caution during their journeys especially in regions expected to receive heavy rain The advisory includes important driving tips such as maintaining safe distances between vehicles reducing speed during low visibility and avoiding unnecessary travel during peak rain hours .
The advisory also emphasized that drivers should check the condition of their vehicles including brakes tires and wipers before starting their journeys The use of headlights in low visibility conditions has also been recommended .

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department intermittent and heavy rainfall is expected in various parts of the country including major urban centers and connecting highways The rain may cause waterlogging in low lying areas and slippery road conditions particularly on the motorways and in hilly regions .

A helpline service 130 will remain operational 247 for travelers needing emergency support or route information Additionally real time traffic updates and road condition alerts are being shared through NHMP’s official social media handles and mobile applications .

“We strongly advise travelers to avoid unnecessary travel during intense rainfall and to keep themselves updated about weather and traffic conditions Our officers are fully equipped and ready to assist the public but the cooperation of citizens is crucial to minimize risk”
He added that motorists should also refrain from using mobile phones while driving and should remain alert for any falling debris or obstacles on roads caused by stormy conditions
