Born in Normandy in 1934, Anquetil was known for his strong legs and sharp mind. he has sahrp minded and full energy of his work and he do this. He was the first rider to win the Tour five times in 1957 and then four in a row from 1961 to 1964. He showed that winning the Tour was about brains as much as strength.
