The Fatal Escalation: A Television Row.

It was a night before midnight on December 22 when the violence broke. The attacker a 47 year old man called Jason Kenney had been watching a Monday Night Football football game in a shed behind the family home according to the Polk County Sheriff, Grady Judd. As he went back into the house to see the last few minutes a fight started between him and his wife Crystal Kenney over the TV.

When the argument deteriorated into physical threat, Crystal demonstrated incredible level of presence of mind and gave an order to her 12 year old son to run to the house of a neighbor and make a 911 call.

Sheriff Judd said that when the 12 year old is leaving the house and he heard a gunshot during a press conference.

A Christmas Miracle: Survival of the 13 Year Old.

Deputies had been at the scene within five minutes and found a grisly scene. The head of Crystal Kenney was shot dead. They discovered their 13 year old daughter in a nearby bedroom with two gunshot wounds, one of her shoulders and a shot in the face. Her survival information is miraculous. Sheriff Judd gave the course of the bullet:

 • Entry Point: The bridge of the nose. Path: The bullet passed straight upwards.

 • Exit Point: Out of the top of her head.

The girl still was alert and talking in spite of the severity of the injury. She informed the Sheriff that she had pleaded with her to spare her life by asking her step father to avoid killing her. And he shot, she recounts, me anyway.

 The Search for Jason Kenney.

After the shooting, Jason Kenney left the area and comes to the home of his recently murred father. In the process of driving, he supposedly phoned his sister and told her that he had done something very, very bad. The Polk County Sheriff office traced him to a shed in the property. When the deputies ran about the building, there was only one shot. Kenney died of a self-inflicted wound and so the immediate danger was stopped, but in the process left a trail of devastation.
