Child Left Alone With Dog, Police Say
“They began an investigation and learned that the child was there in the room inside the home with an animal and received those injuries,” he tells PEOPLE.Locklynn had been mauled by one of the family’s four dogs.Quirk says during the investigation, detectives “learned that the child was left in that room with the animal for a substantial period of time before she was discovered deceased,” he says. “And ultimately a murder arrest came from that investigation.”
Family Raises Funds to Lay Locklynn to Rest
Relatives have since created a GoFundMe to help with funeral and memorial costs for the 2-year-old.”Locklynn was pure light,” the fundraiser reads. “She was curious, gentle, and full of joy — the kind of little girl whose smile could brighten even the hardest day. She loved deeply and was deeply loved. Losing her in such a heartbreaking and unexpected way has left our entire family shattered.”
