Job Description

It has recently been renovated and works closely with the Vancouver Island Health Authority to provide top-notch care.

Job Requirements

• Certification: Must be registered and in good standing with BCCNM.
• CPR/First Aid: Current certification needed.
• Documentation Skills: Able to use electronic documentation and eMar.
• Language Skills: Easy in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience: Experience is preferred.
• Vaccination: Proof of immunization is required.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Handle admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure residents move smoothly.
• Assessment and Planning: Assess residents and help create their care plans.
• Medication and Treatments: Give medications, treatments, and care for wounds correctly.
• Documentation: Use electronic systems (like PointClickCare) and complete MDS Assessments.
• Team Collaboration: Work with doctors, families, and the care team to provide the best care.
• Task Delegation: Assign tasks to care providers and oversee their work.
• Participation: Join Care Conferences and Medication Reviews to improve resident care.

Salary and benefits

Salary

• Hourly Pay: $31.89 to $40.15
• Signing Bonus: $1,000 after 3 months
• Relocation Bonus: $3,000 for moving more than 80 km
• Ongoing Bonus: $3,000 every 6 months for the first 2 years
