Job Description

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will manage and supervise housekeeping, ensuring it meets Shangri-La’s standards. You will maintain rooms and public areas, plan staff schedules, handle annual leave, and join the Emergency Response Team when needed. You will also work with the Learning and Development Team, update authority guidelines, improve the hotel’s ESG, and oversee Lost and Found procedures.

Job Requirements

Experience:

At least 1 year as an Executive Housekeeper.

Education:

• Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, or Hotel Management, or Bachelor’s Degree.

Skills:

• Friendly with guests and focused on results.
• Good leadership abilities.
• Can speak and write well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong at training and communicating with others.

Responsibilities

• Handle Staff Needs: Train, schedule, and manage the housekeeping team.
• Create Housekeeping Rules: Develop and enforce cleaning policies and procedures.
• Control Budget: Manage and track housekeeping expenses.
• Ensure Clean and Safe Environment: Keep the space clean and safe for guests and staff.
• Work with Other Departments: Coordinate with different hotel teams for smooth guest service.
• Participate in Emergencies and Improvements: Join emergency response efforts and work on hotel improvements.
