Requirements:
If you want to make the eligible for this position, You need to have a High School Diploma or equivalent Qualification Related to the GED certificate. You should also hold a Labour Certificate of Qualification of Cook (LCQC), commonly known as a Red Seal. While it’s preferred to have experience as a cook in a Long-Term Care facility, previous non-Long Term Care experience will also be considered. If you don’t have an LCQC but have 6000 hours of cooking experience, you’ll still be considered.
If hired, you’ll have six months to meet the standards for challenging the LCQC exam set by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development.
