What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be at the heart of facility operations. You will manage general repairs and maintenance for Block 22’s first-floor and basement buildings. Here’s a glimpse of what your role will involve:
- HVAC and Refrigeration (65%): Run, keep, and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, pumps, and condensers. You’ll handle everything from installing equipment to designing and fabricating metal ductwork.
- Electrical (20%): Install and repair electrical systems, light switches, outlets, and more. Make sure fire and smoke alarms are in top shape.
- Carpentry (5%): Tackle carpentry tasks, from repairing tables and chairs to replacing ceiling tiles.
- Plumbing (5%): Manage plumbing maintenance, including hot and cold water lines and drain systems.
- Miscellaneous Maintenance (5%): Do tasks like lock repairs, gutter maintenance, and overseeing contracted repairs.
What You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of relevant maintenance and repair experience.
- Experience operating various equipment.
