The Opportunity
Banff Centre’s Physical Facilities Department painters are crucial for upholding the campus’s visual charm and operational efficiency. Using approved painting techniques and procedures, the selected candidate will take on a variety of jobs from surface preparation and patching to finishing, guaranteeing that both indoor and outdoor surfaces are kept in good condition.

Positions and Accountabilities
- Mixing colors, ordering supplies, and maintaining records
- Performing surface preparation and applying coatings
- Applying wall coverings and setting up scaffolding
- Calculating material requirements and placing orders
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Operating hand tools, power equipment, and machinery safely
Qualifications and Requirements
- Specialized knowledge of painting trade
- 5+ years of painting experience
- Proficient with brushes, rollers, and spraying equipment
- Class “5” Alberta driver’s license
- Comfortable with heights and strong manual dexterity
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in demanding conditions
