of Azerbaijan
in Lachin. The leaders Reaffirmed
!their Commitment to Diversifying
Their strategic partnership through !investments
in mutually '' beneficial sectors. Business Recorder Economic Cooperation and Investment Plans The two
countries agreed to enhance bilateral
investments up to $2 billion, focusing on sectors such as energy, infrastructure, tourism, and
education. “Delegation-level talks are planned to ~~progress these investments. .
Energy Sector Collaboration
During Prime Minister Sharif's visit to Baku in
February 2025, Azerbaijan pledged a $2 billion investment in infrastructure, energy, and mining.
An amendment to the LNG framework agreement was signed, allowing Pakistan to procure LNG cargoes on demand.
Additionally, SOCAR, PSO, and ”FWO agreed to ”collaborate on the ”Machike-Thallian-Tarujabba ”White Oil Pipeline Project to enhance oil transportation.
Defense and Cultural Cooperation
In the defense sector, both nations reaffirmed equipment
collaborations and explored joint “manufacturing. An MoU between ”Nakhchivan and ”Lahore was also signed to boost cooperation in culture, tourism, and education, further ”strengthening ties between the two countries.

Future Engagements
Both leaders expressed
optimism about the future of ”Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations. They agreed to
continue working closely to ”finalize the ”investment agreements and explore new avenues for cooperation.
President Aliyev is expected to visit “Islamabad in April to formalize the agreements, ”marking a new chapter in the ”strategic partnership between the two nations.
