Job Description

As a Security Guard at Serco, you will protect Camp Baird and its nearby area. There are two types of guards: Entry Point Guards and Patrol Guards. Both need to watch carefully and report any strange activities quickly. You will work in shifts to keep people and property safe.

• Security Clearance: Must have an active Australian Baseline security clearance or be able to get one.
• Language Skills: Must speak and understand English well (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Certifications: Need a valid Certificate II in Security Operations and a security license from the relevant Australian state authority.
• Experience: Must handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently, especially in emergencies.
• Skills: Must communicate clearly, make good decisions, and act fast in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Stay aware of current threat levels and report anything suspicious.
• Offer friendly and professional service to everyone.
• Act as a deterrent to stop unauthorized access and protect assets.
• Regularly patrol designated areas and respond to alarms.
• Monitor surveillance systems if available.
• Escort personnel as directed by management.
• Work with Defense personnel and external agencies.
